Triarchy S/S 2013 At Toronto Fashion Week

David Pecaut Square was abuzz last week as Toronto’s stylish gathered for Fashion Week. We stopped by on Thursday night to catch the Triarchy show, a denim company born in Vancouver and bred in Los Angeles. Under bright lights in the all-white studio, models strutted up and down the runways while cameras and iPhone cameras snapped away. To keep the focus on the denim, the male models showcased the collection barefoot and topless while most of the female models were draped with ropes as tops.

“A night to remember in St. Tropez” was the theme for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which featured dark denim and lighter washes in grays and whites, along with ombré and tie-dye styles.

The women’s collection also featured metallic copper skinnies/cutoffs and dark denim detailed with gold studs and zippers.

Triarchy was founded by siblings Mark, Adam and Ania Taubenfligel with the vision of creating jeans with enough versatility to be worn anywhere: “These are jeans you can wear all day on your motorcycle – and still keep on for that last-minute date.”

Following the show, we made our rounds in the lounge area where we were treated to manicures by Essie, makeup touchups by Maybelline, mini photo shoots with Express and Rowenta and samples of Stoneleigh wine and Peroni beer.
